Charge point isn't working

It can be frustrating when you find a charge point that’s not working. The quickest and easiest thing to do is look for the nearest alternative. 

  • There might be a problem with your card. Check our troubleshooting guide here >
  • There might be another charge point available at the same station. 
  • If you need to find another station, we’ve provided some helpful links below.

Find another charge point

If you selected the subscription option including charging, or added any charging bolt-ons to your subscription, you’ll get access to over 20,000 public chargers for free. If you selected the no-charging option, you will have to cover the costs.

Using our app? Click the ‘Chargers’ tab to find your nearest charging options.

Not using our app? Simply click the links below:

Find a Shell Recharge station

Find a Tesla Supercharger station

Find other public charge points

You can also charge your car at any station that’s not in our partner network, but there might be a cost involved.

Use the Zap Map website to find your nearest station. If you’re using our app, there’s a link to Zap Map in the ‘Chargers’ tab.

How to report a problem 

It’s helpful to let fellow electric car drivers know about faulty charge points. To do this, simply find the charge point in Zap Map, then add a comment in the Zap-Chat option.
