Submitting photos when you sign up

When you sign up to Onto, we ask you to provide a couple of photos: 

1. A photo of your driving licence
2. A selfie of you holding your driving licence 

What we’re looking for

In order to register you, we need photos that are clear and well lit. 

We can’t approve photos that are:

• Missing important information or have important information blurred
• Taken using Snapchat or Instagram
• Scans or photocopies
• Taken with a flash
• Filtered

How to take an image of your driving licence 

1. Take the photo in a well-lit room or outdoors
2. Choose the highest photo quality on the device you’re using
3. Place the licence on a flat surface
4. Make sure the licence is well within the frame of the image
5. Check that no important information is blurred or obscured

How to take a selfie with your driving licence

1. Take the photo in a well-lit room or outdoors
2. Choose the highest photo quality on the device you’re using
3. Hold the document near to you, like in the image below
4. Make sure both your face and driving licence are clear and within the frame
5. Check that no important information is blurred or obscured

Please note that if the images do not meet the above requirements, we may request new ones from you. This could lead to a delay in starting your subscription.
