Our Reduced Damage Excess bolt-on allows you to reduce your excess from £1000 to £350. When you choose this bolt-on, the other features of your cover remain exactly the same:
- You’ll continue to benefit from our fully comprehensive insurance.
- All the drivers registered on your Onto account (the main driver and any additional drivers) will continue to be covered.
How to add the bolt-on
The process of purchasing the Reduced Damage Excess bolt-on differs for new, existing and Business customers:
New customers - You can add the bolt-on when you’re signing up. After you’ve entered your delivery address, you’ll be given a choice of bolt-on options.
Existing customers - If you’re already an Onto member, you can only add the bolt-on when you swap cars. You’ll be given a choice of bolt-on options when you’re going through the process of choosing your new model.
Onto for Business customers - Please get in touch with your Onto fleet manager and they’ll be happy to help.
How much does it cost?
The price of the Reduced Damage Excess bolt-on depends what tier your car is in:
Tier 1 and 2 cars - £20 including VAT: Renault Zoe, Peugeot e-208, Volkswagen e-up!, Nissan Leaf, BMW i3, Hyundai Ioniq, DS3 Crossback E-Tense, Hyundai Kona, Peugeot e-2008, Volkswagen ID3, Citroën ë-C4.
Tier 3 and 4 cars - £30 including VAT: Tesla Model 3 SR+, Audi Q4 e-tron, Volkswagen ID4, Tesla Model 3 LR and Performance, Tesla Model S, Jaguar iPace, Audi e-tron.
How to cancel the bolt-on
