We always ask you to take reasonable care of your car, keeping it in good repair and condition. If it’s damaged at any point, you should let us know as soon as possible.
When you choose to swap or return your car, we’ll carry out a couple of checks to make sure it meets our Fair Wear and Tear policy.
Quick check when we collect
When it’s time for your car to be returned, a member of our team will come to collect it. While they’re with you, they’ll do a couple of things:
- Check the car is clean and free of damage.
- Take photos to confirm the car’s condition.
It’s important to note this is not our official damage check, but more a quick inspection to see if there’s any visible damage.
Official Damage Check at our depot
Once the car is back at our depot, we’ll carry out a more detailed inspection. Using enhanced lighting and special equipment, we’ll check the following:
- If there’s any damage that’s beyond reasonable wear and tear.
- If the inside and outside of the car are clean and in good condition.
What happens if we find damage?
If we discover any problems, one of our team will get in touch with you about the repairs required and what happens next.
If we don’t find any damage, we’ll give you a quick call to confirm everything’s okay and thank you for looking after the car.
