Our Standard insurance excess of £1000 applies for all insurances-events including vandalism but excluding glass/windscreen repairs which has a standard excess of £500.
You can find information about what an insurance excess is here
The Reduced damage excess bolt-on reduces the standard excess amount down to £650, £350 or Zero.
When you choose one of these bolt-ons, the other features of your cover remain exactly the same:
- You’ll continue to benefit from our fully comprehensive insurance.
- All the drivers registered on your Onto account (the main driver and any additional drivers) will continue to be covered.
- The reduced excess only covers one car at a time. If you have two or more Onto cars in your household, you will need separate excess reductions applied.
- You cannot reduce the excess any further than this.
You cannot upgrade your excess reduction cover mid-way through a subscription.
How much does it cost?
The price of the Reduced Damage Excess bolt-on depends which Tier your car is in, as well as which level of reduction you wish to apply to your subscription
Note : If you have our older excess reduction package applied, this will remain in place at the original price, which will be protected under our R&R program until December 2023, unless you cancel your subscription, or perform another swap.
