"Fair wear and tear" covers deterioration that is expected to happen to a car over time.
Onto is a member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA), and adheres to their standards for what is considered fair wear and tear, which ensures we have a fair and consistent approach. You can read about what is included within the BVRLA fair Wear and Tear standards here >
When your Onto car is delivered, it will have been inspected by our partners to ensure that there is no damage outside of these Fair Wear and Tear guidelines. If you spot any damage which you think has been missed, you should take some pictures and ensure you report it within the first 24 hours of your subscription.
When you return your Onto car, we will inspect the car for any damage that has happened while the car was with you. We will only charge you for repairs where the damage is outside of the Fair Wear and Tear standards.
