Onto has been placed into administration

This page intends to cover everything customers need to know about Onto being placed into administration.

Thank you for being part of the Onto family and for your ongoing support. We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment this news may bring and assure you that we're dedicated to assisting you during this transition.

 

What does Administration mean?

Onto has faced challenging market conditions due to the recent steep fall in the price of used electric vehicles, rising interest rates and the squeeze on disposable income. As such, the directors have taken the very difficult decision to put the company into administration.

The Administrators are Jonathan Lees and Gavin Maher and they now manage the business and affairs as agents of the Company and certain subsidiaries.

Despite being in administration, Onto will continue to serve existing customers as the administrators explore strategic options to support the business going forward. As such, the administration does not affect your current hire agreement, and you can continue to enjoy the use of your electric car subscription.

 

How does this affect me as an Onto customer?

You can continue using your car. It is business as usual, and you do not need to take any action. We will let you know if circumstances change.

 

Do I need to return my car immediately?

No. For now, you can continue to use your car under the terms of your hire agreement and return it when you want to.

 

Can I still renew my Hire Agreement on a monthly basis?

Yes. For now, you can continue to renew your hire agreement in line with the existing terms and conditions.

 

Can I still add or delete bolt-ons?

Yes. For now, you can continue to add or delete bolt-ons on your account.

 

Can I swap my car?

No. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to swap cars.

 

Do I need to change how I pay?

No. You don’t need to change how you pay.

 

Can I still use Onto rewards?

No. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to partially or fully redeem your Onto points anymore.

 

What does this mean for Onto for Business customers?
