Why your car has a dash cam
Dash cam video footage can be an important part of insurance and accident claims. Instead of having to rely on eyewitness accounts, the footage can provide clear evidence of what actually happened. That’s why all our cars come with a dash cam installed.
How our dash cams work
- The dash cam isn’t recording the whole time. Recording is triggered when the dash cam detects movement. It will then record up to 17 seconds of video footage, without recording any sound.
- The dash cam doesn’t record anything that happens inside your car.
- The footage is for internal use only. We’ll only release footage as part of insurance claims or if the police ask to see it.
