Who covers the cost of new tyres?

Fair wear and tear covers deterioration that is expected to happen to a car over time. 

Onto is a member of the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association (BVRLA), and adheres to their standards for what is considered fair wear and tear, which ensures we have a fair and consistent approach. You can read about what is included within the BVRLA fair Wear and Tear standards here >

  • If you need new tyres due to wear (eg they’ve reached the legal tyre tread depth) that’s included in our fair wear and tear policy, we will be happy to cover the cost.
     
  • If you need new tyres due to damage that’s not in our fair wear and tear policy, you will have to cover the cost. This includes tyre damage or wear that’s been caused by excessive acceleration and braking.

If you have a puncture/flat tyre during your subscription, you should call Driverline on 03450 348 647 (option 2 car queries) so that we can organise a repair/replacement.
