What is the ‘Refresh and Retire’ (R&R) programme?
Our goal is to keep our electric car fleet as stellar as possible. To give room to the new, we, unfortunately, need to say goodbye to the old. However, with electric cars improving gradually almost every day, this is far from being bad news. With new features like cutting-edge tech, brand-new models, never-before-seen additions, bigger batteries and longer range, staying with the same cars forever would be doing a huge disservice to our subscribers. So needless to say, it’s imperative that we rotate our fleets quite frequently.
The R&R programme aims to keep you updated on status of your car as it progresses through its life cycle, and help you transition into your new car as smoothly as possible.
As of December 2022, these models are set to be Refreshed or Retired:
- Zoe GT Line
- Zoe Iconic
- Hyundai IONIQ
- Hyundai Kona Ultimate
- DS3 Performance line
- Peugeot e-2008
Please note, the age of our cars will differ within each model, so subscribers might not all be contacted about refreshing/retiring their car at the same time.
How does it work?
If your car needs to be refreshed or retired, we will notify you by email and prompt you to fill out a request form for the replacement car of your choice. A member of our team will then review your request and call you to finalise your swap.
We aim on booking your R&R swap on the renewal day of your subscription, so your payment date remains the same. If you'd like to take this opportunity to change payment date, just request your swap for the new date of your choice.
Please note, if we fail to request your swap by the deadline stated in the notification email, we reserve the right to collect your car.
2022 protected pricing:
If your car was requested for return through the R&R programme and you booked your swap before 9 January 2023, your 2022 pricing will be protected on your new car until you either swap again or cancel your subscription.
If your car was requested for return through the R&R programme and you booked your swap after 9 January 2023, you will continue to maintain your protected price on your new car until at least June 2023.
